Tonight we celebrated our baby boys 1st birthday. While it hurts and it's hard to be apart from him today, we know that we'll celebrate next year and the many years there-after that he'll be with us.
We pray that God keeps him safe and we are so very thankful for the wonderful care and love he is receiving from his foster family until he comes home to us. Tonight we celebrate his birth, his foster mother/family for for loving and caring for him, and most of all for his birth mother, who chose the most selfless thing she could. She carried him for nine months, but knew that she couldn't give him the best life possible, so she did the most unselfish thing, she chose to give him up for adoption in the hopes that he would have a good life. We are committed to giving him the best life we possibly can. We lit a candle for both his foster mother & his birth mother tonight and said a prayer for all of them. We will continue to do this at each birthday celebration.
