Pigeon Forge Weekend Getaway

We took a little weekend getaway to P*geon Forge and Knoxv*lle a few weeks ago. We had so much fun. We missed our best friends while there. We normally always get a cabin each year with them, but a lot of things came up and they weren't able to make it. We're planning that trip for a little later this year. :)   We ended up still going and staying in a hotel instead. This hotel was awesome. We absolutely loved it. We stayed at the Clar*on Inn in P*geon Forge. Since Landon will start pre-school in the fall, we won't be able to do our normal D*sney trips like we have for the past few years. We aren't crazy enough to go during spring break, summer, or Christmas/New Years, so that limits us to a few fall breaks here and there. So we've been looking for alternatives. A few weekends in P*geon Forge here and there might not be so bad for next summer. We went to Calhoun's restaurant for dinner that night, then back to the hotel. The hotel has indoor and outdoor heated pools, even in winter, but at 32* outside that night, we weren't about to swim in the outdoor pool. We had the entire indoor pool and hot tub to ourselves. We swam for almost 2 hours. Then we got ready and headed down the parkway since we were close enough to walk to a lot of things. They had free coffee and ice water so Eric and I got some coffee and Landon grabbed a bag of free popcorn and we were off. We ended up going to a new place called The Island. It reminds me of a shopping center with restaurants like you'd see at the beach. We walked around there for awhile, then came back to the hotel. The next day we went to Knoxville and ate at our favorite Korean restaurant, then did some shopping at Ald* and Tr@der Joe'$. It was a nice weekend. We had a lot of fun.

Landon was so excited to see what they brought his food out in....

Guess we wore him out, because one minute he was watching a show on the iPad, the next minute, we looked over to see this.

AWESOME Korean restaurant in Knoxv*lle - Kaya

These boys can both put away some Korean food. Well, we ALL can. :)
